Looking for homemade, clean and Green, Bug and weed killers, cleaners, and whatever!

If any body has any recipes for some clean and green household essentials how about sharing them with us all. Lets break the habit of paying for chemicals that can eventually kill us and the world around us. I like cheap, clean and green.
For weed killer I mixed 1 litre of white vinegar with 60 mls of table salt and a squirt of bio-degradeable dish soap. I sprayed some weeds on a sunny warm day. Two days later things are turning yellow. If any body cares I will update. I am also using Diatomaceous earth for the crawleys who like to infest the house and eat the garden.

This isn't a bug killer as much as bite protection. Have lots of kiddos around. Don't like the mosquitoes, fire ant, and fly bites. We use one drop of Purification blend Essential oil mixed with clean water (distill your own) in a spray bottle as a bug repellent that really works AND is low cost AND kid/pet friendly. We spray one squirt up into the air and then "step into it" to rapidly cover the whole person with the bug repellent.
